Dear Parents, Students, Principals and Teachers of Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service,
In a little less than two weeks, we will celebrate as one nation, the blessings of freedom, sought by many who fled their homelands, years, and even decades ago. Deemed a national holiday by President Lincoln during the height of our own Civil War in 1863, we were asked then, as we are now, to put aside our political differences and stand together to thank God for our prosperity, our inheritance, our common dignity of “One Nation Under God.”
During this Thanksgiving Season, we would like to take this moment to thank all of you for giving us the chance to teach, train, and inspire your children – academically and even personally. We trust that the time we have spent with your children has been a special, one-on-one time. More than that, as teachers we have been blessed to know them. They are very important to us.
We wish you and your extended families a peaceful, safe, relaxing holiday season. Let your time be spent thinking of Who put us here; and why we are called to be parents.
